Fix:<\/strong> Check for any app updates on the App Store if there is a particular app that is freezing all the time. Then, re-launch the app and restart your device before using it again. The second option is to restart the phone.<\/p>\n

2) Battery Draining Quickly<\/h3>\n

Issue:<\/strong> A complaint that has been heard quite a lot is that the battery is running out quickly after the iOS 12<\/strong> update. If this has happened to you, then here is what you can do:<\/p>\n

Fix:<\/strong> Make sure there are no apps running in the background. Then go into Settings > General > Software Update to check for the apps that are the most taxing for the battery.<\/p>\n

3) Device Overheating<\/h3>\n

Issue:<\/strong> A few hours after updating to the iOS 12<\/strong>, some users complained that their device became quite hot. It is possible for devices to overheat after a new update is installed.<\/p>\n

Fix:<\/strong> Check your iCloud services to ensure that this is not stuck in your background. To do this, go to Settings > Your ID > iCloud and quickly check if your device is running properly.<\/p>\n

4) Notifications Not Showing\u00a0 \/ Working<\/h3>\n

Issue:<\/strong> If you are experiencing issues with getting notifications, chances are that your new iOS 12 update<\/strong> has something to do with it.<\/p>\n

Fix:<\/strong> The first thing you can do is check if your phone is in Do Not Disturb mode. To do this, go to Settings > Do Not Disturb > Activate > Manually. If this does not work, try resetting your network settings. To do this, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.<\/p>\n

5) Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues<\/h3>\n

Issue:<\/strong> Like with the prior updates, even the iOS 12<\/strong> has led to connectivity issues for some. If your Bluetooth icons don’t turn up or are unable to identify nearby devices, this is probably one of the iOS issues<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Fix for Bluetooth:<\/strong> First, go to Settings > Bluetooth > Click on the device you are trying to pair with > Tap on the info button > Forget this device. Then repair the device. If that doesn’t work, try restoring your device from iTunes or iCloud.<\/p>\n

6) iMessage Bug<\/h3>\n

Issue:<\/strong> If you not able to sign into iMessage with your Apple ID? Are your messages not being sent or received properly? Is your phone number not getting detected? If any of these sound familiar to you, chances are that you are dealing with an update issue.<\/p>\n

Fix:<\/strong> The primary fix is to check your date and time settings. To do this, go to Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically. If this doesn’t work, consider hard resetting your phone.<\/p>\n

7) App Store Not Opening<\/h3>\n

Issue:<\/strong> Some usual instances of the App Store not working are when the app either doesn’t upload, doesn’t let you process downloads or crashes.<\/p>\n

Fix:<\/strong> The first fix you can try is to reconnect the internet. Whether you are using Wi-Fi or mobile internet, first turn it off and then turn it back on. If this doesn’t work, then perform a network reset.<\/p>\n

8) Software Update Failure<\/h3>\n

Issue:<\/strong> If you have trouble updating your iDevice to the iOS 12<\/strong><\/a> or an error message pops up on your screen, then that could most likely be due to the iOS 12 upgrade <\/strong>itself and not the device.<\/p>\n

Fix:<\/strong> When the message that says ‘error’ pops up, there are two options that you will get – ‘Close’ and ‘Settings’. Click on ‘close’, restart your device and try again. If this doesn’t work, then click on ‘Settings’, go into Network Reset and reset your network settings.<\/p>\n
