The client, Abhijit Associate, a company located at Coimbatore, lost its critical documents stored in an external hard disk drive.
The 2.5 inch Seagate HDD had the model number SRD00F1, serial number NA43VFXW, and storage capacity of 1 Terabytes. The external hard drive was used in a Windows computer to store important document files of the company.
The drive when connected to a computer requested for formatting in order to operate. The client did not format lest the external HDD lose its stored data. Instead, the client preferred to recover data prior to formatting.
A representative from Abhijit Associates came to Stellar Data Recovery Coimbatore branch with the inaccessible external hard drive. The representative told our executive that the storage medium was asking to format, which was cancelled to avoid data loss.
We, Coimbatore data recovery team, received the affected hard drive for diagnosis and data recovery.
DATA RECOVERY FROM FILE SYSTEM ERROR
After obtaining the external hard disk drive, our data recovery engineers at the outset analyzed the drive thoroughly and arrived with the following conclusion. The storage medium had file system error, which resulted in no display of partitions. The drive also has bad sectors resulting in corruption of few files.
To resolve the issue, the engineer created full image of the defective media. Normally, the image file opens the partition, but due to corrupt file system the partition could not be opened. Using our proprietary data recovery software, the hard drive was deep scanned to reveal original partition structure.
The engineer then previewed the partition and found few recovered files (some Excel documents) as corrupt. Using Stellar’s powerful repair software, the corrupt files were successfully repaired.
We recovered the data and, repaired the corrupted files. The required document files and checked it to be in perfect working condition. The successful resolution news was conveyed to the client.
Our client, Abhijit Associates, was satisfied as all the data was recovered within a short period of time. The client acknowledged with the note “Service is very nice”.
