Stellar File Wipe - Windows

Step 1:- The main interface of Stellar File Wipe contains several data wiping options as shown above. Click ‘Wipe Unused Space’ in the left pane to wipe the space freed by deleting files on the hard drives. Select the drives to be wiped by marking checkboxes before the names of the drives. You can choose the desired wipe algorithm using the ‘Set Wipe Algorithm’ option. In the 'Wipe Options', select 'Wipe Deleted files and folders properties (name, date, size, etc...)' to wipe files along with their properties and 'Wipe System transaction log file (on NTFS drives only)' to wipe log files saved on any NTFS partition. Click ‘Wipe Now’ to begin the wiping process.

Step 2:- Click ‘Wipe Slack Space’ in the left pane to wipe all the slack space created when saving files on the drives. Select the drives to be wiped. Click 'Select All Drives' to select all the listed drives at once. Click 'Set Wipe Algorithm' to specify the desired wipe algorithm for the task. In the 'Wipe Options', select 'Wipe System transaction log file (on NTFS drives only)' to wipe log files saved on an NTFS based drive during transactions. Click 'Wipe Now' to begin the wiping process.

Step 3:- Click 'System Traces' in the left pane to wipe unwanted caches, dumps, and other temporary files saved by the operating system on your hard drive. Mark the checkboxes corresponding to the System Traces you need to wipe. Click 'Wipe Now' to start wiping these traces.

Step 4:- Click 'Application Traces' on the left to wipe the leftover traces of various applications in your system. You can choose from 'Email & News Applications', 'Peer to Peer Applications', 'Microsoft Applications', 'Chat Messengers', and Other Applications'. If you select 'Email & News Applications', all the applications supported under this category are listed. Select the applications for which you need to wipe traces. Click 'Wipe' to begin wiping the traces of selected applications.

Step 5:- Click 'Internet Activities' in the left pane to wipe all the data saved by various web browsers in your system. A list of supported web browsers is displayed under 'Internet Activities'. When you click 'Internet Explorer', all the traces of Internet activities corresponding to this browser are displayed. Choose the data you need to wipe and click 'Wipe'.

Step 6:- Click 'Add Wipe List' in the left pane to create and manage different wipe lists (i.e. the list of files and folders to be wiped in a single operation). Click 'Add New List' to create a wipe list. Click 'Remove List' to remove a wipe list from the group of wipe lists displayed under 'List Name'. Mark the checkboxes corresponding to the lists you need to wipe and then click 'Wipe List' to wipe all of them in one go.

Step 7:- Click 'Wipe Now' in the left pane to wipe selected files, folders, or the entire drives in one single operation. Mark corresponding checkboxes to select files and folders for wiping. If you need to wipe the entire contents of a drive, select the respective drive. Click 'Wipe Now' to start wiping selected files, folders, and drives.
